If, like many of us, you’ve been duped into watching Game of Thrones before it was all wrapped up and concluded, here are some things that might help you scratch that Westeros itch until the final season is released. We have to wait until April 2019 according to this incredible final season release date announcement posted in November on the GoT official Twitter account:

Graphic Novels

The Hedge Knight, The Sworn Sword, and The Mystery Knight are three graphic novels that tell the story of a young squire called ‘Dunk’ as he tries to rise to knighthood. These stories are all credited to George R. R. Martin himself so they’re all canon – and they take place 100 years in the past, before the events of A Song of Ice & Fire or the television show.

There’s also a comic book called Power Behind the Thrones, which tells the story of Martin himself, from his comic book fan days to the success of Game of Thrones.

Video Games

There’s a Game of Thrones adventure game from TellTale Games, famous for graphic adventure games focused on providing consequences for player choices. It’s a single player, narratively-driven campaign spanning six episodes, and you even run into some of the main characters from the show. Somewhat dated graphically, the game still provides an interesting and rewarding experience.

Mobile Games

Yes, you can play Game of Thrones on your phone!

Game of Thrones Conquest bills itself as the ‘Ultimate Dragon Strategy Game’ and acts accordingly. It’s free to play, so you don’t have to pay a dime. You rule a kingdom, you protect your realm, attack others, rinse and repeat as you rise in power and glory!

More interesting, perhaps, is “Reigns: Game of Thrones” which is a card-based strategy game that looks modern and retro all at once but will set you back a few bucks. You swipe right and left to make life or death decisions, just like you do in real life.

While not strictly, or at all, in fact, a Game of Thrones game, Quiz Up, the evergreen trivia game, has more categories than you could imagine, so you can always fire it up to play against a friend. Select ‘Game of Thrones’ as a subject and brush up on the show!

Another Show (*bonus)

While we don’t think any other show can fill the void in our hearts while we wait for GoT’s final season to drop in April, we certainly think ‘The Last Kingdom’ can try. With an 87% Rotten Tomatoes critic score and a lot of social media buzz, this show is based on Bernard Cornwell’s “Saxon Stories” series of novels about 9th century Britain. There are two seasons already up on Netflix with a third season coming to regional Netflix accounts later in November.

Netflix synopsis: “As Alfred the Great defends his kingdom from Norse invaders, Uhtred — born a Saxon but raised by Vikings — seeks to claim his ancestral birthright.”

Rotten Tomatoes Score: 87%

IMDB Score: 8.3/10
