Do you want to play a game? Of course you do! We’re going to tell you about some of the must-see and do things in a particular destination, and it’s your job to figure out where in the world we’re talking about. Now, a few ground rules. Number one: no using google! Number two: no giving away the fun by getting the photo information. We won’t know if you cheat, but you will! We promise to reveal the answer at the end. See how long it takes you to guess the right answer.

Enjoy The Water

Our mystery location has a lot of coastline. In fact, it boasts more than 7000 km of Atlantic coast. With this much ocean-side real estate, you can be sure that there are plenty of amazing beaches and marine parks to explore. One of the local beaches that consistently makes the “best of” list, is Porto de Galinhas. Snorkeling and diving there are popular past times. A wide array of beautiful sea life range from lagoon inhabiting seahorses, to a myriad of bright tropical fish. The nearby town is perfectly beach-chic with colorful buildings, cool eateries, and lovely boutiques. Also not to be missed are the gorgeous clear waters of Fernando de Noronha. Not only is this place visually stunning, but going for a dive here can bring you face to fin with such aquatic life as dolphins, sea turtles, fish, and even reef sharks.

Experience An Amazing Open-Air Gallery

Can you guess where in the world you can visit a 5000-acre botanical garden that houses a massive open-air museological gallery? The complex, known as Inhotim, features art from a range of both local, and international artists. The concept here is that visitors experience the art, exhibits, and their surroundings, as a single entity. There are plenty of sculptures, artistic showpieces, and themed pavilions to explore. You could certainly tackle the sprawling complex in a day, but you might want to give yourself two. It’s definitely a must-see for any art enthusiast.

Shop and Splurge In Ipanema

When you translate “Ipanema”, it doesn’t sound like a very inviting place. The name means “bad water”. While the translation might conjure up all manner of less than appealing mental pictures, this place is quite the place to be. The neighborhood is rather affluent, and is quite popular among many international travelers. If you’re looking for something in the “world-class” category, look no further. Among high-end restaurants, hotels, residences, and shops, this stop is also where in the world you’ll find the Ipanema Hippie Market. It’s held every Sunday, and has been around since the 1960’s. You’ll literally shop ’til you drop, as there are over 700 stalls to visit. And oh yeah, don’t forget the local beach.

Walk the Cobbled Streets Of Ouro Preto

Your trip to our mystery destination really should include a visit to this colonial city. The buildings are somehow both ornate and quaint. In the 17^th century, this city literally struck it rich after gold and diamonds were found in the region in profusion. Today, it’s not just a great place to get a history lesson, but also a dream location for foodies. Regional dishes and street foods abound, calling to your taste buds. An absolute must? Where in the world could you possibly get better pao de queijo? It’s a cheese bread, and it will change your life.

Party Like, Or With, An Animal

Where in the world can you check out the Amazon Rain Forest, or attend one of the biggest parties on earth? If it’s flora and fauna you want, you should definitely head to Manaus. The city will put you close to the wilds of the Amazon and the banks of the Negro River. All while giving you civilization to return to when your hike or camp-out is over. However, if it’s the party animals that you wish to encounter, we have one word for you: Carnival. Best stampede on over to Rio.
